India needs to scale up its energy supply quickly to support its growth and development plans. At the same time, the Indian government has committed to accelerate its energy transition, setting targets such as 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy and a 45% reduction in emissions intensity by 2030, energy independence by 2047 and net zero by 2070.

This Request for Quotation (RfQ) addresses the energy sector priorities agreed at the fourth UK-India Energy Dialogue (February 2025) and will deliver the themes under the Climate and Clean Energy pillar of India-UK Vision 2035. This RfQ is seeking a supplier to support and provide technical assistance to the following areas:

  1. Undersea grid interconnectors
2.Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs)
3.Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES)
4.Grid modernisation and effective operations
5.Carbon markets
6.Offshore wind
