The Environment Agency (EA) is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England. As a Category 1 responder the EA is at the core of the multi-agency response to a major incident. The EA have a legal duty to work with other responders to prepare for incidents and have business continuity arrangements in place. This contract shall provide a fundamental design review to identify the technical and service changes required for flood IT services to be resilient and highly available in a manner that meets as closely as possible the EA's Category 1 Responder/Tier 1 responsibilities.
