description
MC are looking for an individual (or individuals), with appropriate experience and expertise in the transport data analytics and modelling discipline, to join their team and provide programme support as a Technical Support Manager (TSM). The successful applicant(s) will be expected to work with the Technical Innovation Lead at MC and contribute towards their overarching Technology and Innovation program tailored to the needs and ambitions of the Midlands.
The key responsibilities of the TSM are summarised below-
| - | Manage consultants undertaking specialist transport planning work including preparation of briefs and procuring contract agreements. | |
| - | Monitor project programmes, budget allocations and spending on Technology and Innovation program projects. | |
| - | Provide technical support in appraising, measuring and prioritising programmes. | |
| - | Maintain an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the Midlands Connect Partnership, individual partner drivers and priorities to build rapport and establish respect and trust between Midlands Connect and the wider partnership. | |
| - | Work with the Technology Innovation lead to ensure that technology-based solutions are well understood when options are being considered. | |
| - | Identify research, feasibility studies, consultation, market testing and data analysis to inform the scoping of new projects and development of Business Cases. | |
| - | Ensure that accurate and timely reporting is generated for Technical Innovation Lead on all aspects of individual projects' performance and provide challenge as required to drive improved delivery. | |
| - | Co-ordinate and oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring that the dependencies between them are effectively identified and managed; as well as good ideas translated from one to another. | |
| - | Ensure robust project controls and that coherent up to date schedules and milestone plans are in place and are regularly monitored to drive the delivery of projects and activities against agreed governance and timescales. |
