Met Office for Schools

Met Office for Schools will provide rich and informative resources for teachers so that they can engage young people across the UK aged 7-14 in classroom activities, which are memorable and develop an emotional connection with weather, climate, STEM subjects and the Met Office. Building on our scoping activities and pilot project, we are now in a position to finalise the programme of Met Office for Schools. About this Contract for Services:

This tender presents four work packages whose delivery will help us to launch Met Office for School in early summer 2019 (between the Easter and Summer school holidays).

The total budget is £200,000. In your proposal, please outline the distribution of costs across the four work packages.

Alongside the four Work Packages detailed below, work will be undertaken at the Met Office to ready an online platform to host the resources produced, alongside other related Met Office for Schools activities. It is imperative that you work closely with the Met Office delivery team to ensure timescales agreed align with the other Met Office for School activities that will be ongoing but are not included in this contract.

We will award in whole or in part, or not at all. Work packages are: Work Package 1 - Finalise programme identity Work Package 2 - Develop Programme Marketing and Communications Strategy Work Package 3 - Develop Programme Evaluation Strategy Work Package 4 - Create Programme Resources
