description

Newcastle City Council are the lead Risk Management Authority for Newcastle City Centre. The proposed scope of work is to build on the 2016 Strategic Surface Water Management Plan (SSWMP) and Integrated Catchment Model (ICM) model for Newcastle city centre and develop more coherent and detailed solutions to better protect the city centre. This will entail review of existing data and model, update model as required taking account of Newcastle University's CityCAT model if appropriate. A key element is to link up with future plans for the city centre and embed the drainage solutions within them. Newcastle City Council has a number of goals including zero carbon and blue green city targets they are yet achieve.
