description
This purchase will enable the CEH isotope facility at Lancaster to carry out critical trace gas CO2, CH4 and N2O analyses in order to fulfil our contractual agreements with projects linked to the LSMSF laboratory, including a large number of CWI and NC projects. The instrument which had previously fulfilled these requirements is now over 16 years old and has become more unreliable as an analytical instrument due to cryo-trap heater failures and 6 way valve failure which require an uneconomical level of operator input to maintain and run the instrument.
