RIVER CEIRIOG RESTORATION PROJECT

The aim of the programme is to implement river restoration works on the ground and integrate the restoration plan into the wider catchment plan.

The the site works will involve essential removal of a number of large woody structutres and trees that have become detached from the bank sides now located instream and representing real flood risk due to likely downstream passage and bridge blocking. They are also going to prevent the protected migratory fish species clear passage upstream this winter
