Wiltshire CCG - Wiltshire Wellbeing Support Service

NHS Wiltshire CCG Mental Health Team are considering the possible commissioning of a low level active listening and support service which would be available to GPs across Wiltshire (excluding Swindon). This would not be a counselling service. This service would provide short term support to individuals going through emotionally challenging times. These would include family, parenting issues, financial issues with a view to improving their mental wellbeing and supporting them in accessing other, appropriate services as necessary. Support workers would be accountable to the referring GPs and be available either within GP practices or working across a group of practices.

If commissioned in this form, it is anticipated that the initial contract would be for one year (with the option to extend by up to a further year) and have an annual value in the region of £200,000.

At this point the CCG are seeking to gain an understanding of the potential provider landscape only, and will review the responses to this notice to help determine the ongoing commissioning strategy for these services.
