Fresh Fruit, Vegetables and Milk Products

NYCC has awarded a call-off contract for supply of Fresh Fruit, Vegetables and Milk Products, ("the Contract") via YPO UK Food Deal Framework Ref 704

The Authority is seeking a supplier[s] with which to develop an open and collaborative working arrangement to deliver first class quality products and a highly customer focussed service. The Supplier[s] shall be proactive in supporting the Authority to develop and maintain a core list of items, to increase in value and a decrease in transactional processes throughout the term of the contract.

NYCC Facilities Management Services provides traded services across North Yorkshire including Catering, Cleaning, Caretaking and Grounds Maintenance; employing 1200 people.

Accreditation with the Silver Food for Life Award by the Soil Association has already been achieved.. This accreditation recognises us nationally as a beacon of excellence in the provision of fresh, locally and regionally produced food.

Facilities Management - Catering prides itself on its skills used every day in preparing nutritionally sound meals, caring for the dietary needs of children, young people and the elderly. We believe that a healthy, balanced diet is essential for all our customers so we provide fresh food that is cooked daily on school premises.

The Supplier and the Authority shall work together throughout the term of the contract to review processes and identify ways to achieve best value.
