description

The TARGET Programme helps influence prescribers' and patients' personal attitudes, social norms and perceived barriers to optimal antibiotic prescribing. It includes a range of resources, including a Pharmacy Antimicrobial Stewardship Intervention (PAMSI), developed to support community pharmacy staff in their role ensuring the safety of patients and educating the public about appropriate antibiotic use and managing common infections. During the COVID-19 pandemic, pharmacy staffs' role in educating the public has been enhanced; patients rely on and trust pharmacy staff to provide quality information and advice for infections.
