Supported Housing - Refuge (Domestic Violence) Service Supplier Event
3rd August 2018
1:30pm
The Council's Supporting People programme aims to improve the quality of life for a range of vulnerable adults and young people in the borough and enables these residents to achieve improved health, greater independence and control in making life choices. The Refuge Service provide support for women and children fleeing violence and abuse including; domestic violence, sexual violence, 'honour' based violence and forced marriages. The service however does not provide for care services.
The Accommodation Pathway provides accommodation along with support services in a number of areas including: better managing their mental and physical health; developing daily living skills; accessing education, training and employment, along with other, positive, community based, daily activities; and moving-on to independent living. The Pathway aims to improve quality of life and to enable service users to develop greater independence and control in making life choices and maintaining their health and wellbeing.
At present Westminster has 35 bed spaces available in 5 premises, across the City of Westminster delivered by a single service provider, who either own or lease the premises from where the services are delivered.
The current service provisions are to expire on the 31 March 2019, therefore the Council wishes to meet with suppliers to discuss how best to move forward and re-procure the services.
It is the Council's intention to engage with one service provider to deliver a cohesive and streamlined service provision.
Should you wish to participate in the supplier event, please register your interest with Jennifer Rhoden at JRhoden@westminster.gov.uk
Please note that only 1 representative per organisation is permissible.
The supplier event is to take place on 3rd August 2018 at 1:30 - 3:00pm.
Westminster City Council, Portland House, Bressenden Place, SW1E 5RS
