Demolition of Buildings A32,A34,A40,A41,B10,B12, B47 Greenhouse and Concrete Pillars
The HCA is seeking suitable contractors to carry out the following work
| • | Demolition including clearance of floor slabs, foundations (to 1m bgl) and clearance and disposal of all asbestos arisings from the buildings and features summarised in the table overleaf. |
| • | Pre-demolition asbestos surveys are currently being undertaken and the resultant reports will be provided prior to commencement. |
| • | Disconnection of utilities will be undertaken by others in advance of commencement. |
| • | Bats have been identified within one of the buildings and potentially also in a second. The Contractor will be required to appoint a licenced bat ecologist and coordinate with them in providing access for internal inspections prior to demolition of these specific buildings. |
| • | Three of the buildings to be demolished include connections to adjacent buildings that are to be retained and protected. Following demolition, internal doorways will be exposed and the Contractor will be required to block up those openings by provision of new cavity walls with finishes as defined with the Specification. |

The contract will be subject to English law. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in GBP and all payments under the contract will be made in GBP.
Contractors must be licensed by the HSE and also be members of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA). In addition to ARCA we also recognise ACAD (Asbestos Control & Abatement Division).
This procurement and award is subject to the transparency arrangements being adopted by the UK Government. These arrangements include the publication of tender documentation issued by the HCA and the contract between the HCA and supplier. Bidders should highlight any areas they consider commercially sensitive in order for the HCA to be able to honour our transparency obligations without undermining the bidders commercial interests.
