Dynamic Purchasing System For Provision Of Passenger Transport (December 2015 to February 2016)

Public road transport services. Taxi services. Non-scheduled passenger transport. Hire of passenger transport vehicles with driver. Hire of passenger cars with driver. Hire of buses and coaches with driver.

The Dorset County Council Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Provision of Passenger Transport incorporates 4 Lots.

This is a list of the contract requirements that are anticipated to be required during the period of 04.12.15 to 29.02.16. All providers selected to the relevant lot of the DPS will be invited to submit tenders for specific contract requirements. The award of contracts will be made wholly on an evaluation of the price tendered and the successful tender will be the lowest bid received.

Lot 1: Public Transport (vehicles over 16 seats) No specific contract requirements are anticipated for Lot 1.

Lot 2: Bus and Coach Transport (vehicles over 8 seats) Anticipated 1 route to be required with an estimated value of up to £64,732. Estimated length of contract - 4 years.

Lot 3: Specially Adapted Vehicle Transport. Wheelchair accessible vehicle transport for special education needs children to attend school, looked after children to attend school or visits to family, and for vulnerable adults to attend day care centres. Anticipated 3 routes to be required with an estimated value of up to £61,946. Estimated length of contract - 1 year to 4 years.

Lot 4: Taxi Transport Various. Routine taxi transport for home to school transport for mainstream school children, special education needs children to attend school, looked after children to attend school or visits to family, and for vulnerable adults to attend day care centres. Anticipated 11 routes to be required with an estimated combined value of all routes - £174,913. Estimated length of contracts - various from 1 year to 4 years.

These estimations and anticipated requirements are based on figures during the period December 2014 to February 2015. In addition to the requirements listed above, the DPS may be used to tender urgent transport routes that arise during the period of this notice. This may include tenders for immediate transport requirements that have a significant social impact, or where an existing provider fails to deliver a route with immediate effect. These urgent requirements may arise within any of the four lots.
