REQUEST FOR QUOTE FOR THE PROVISION OF INITIAL CONSULTANCY ADVICE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SMART CITY DIGITAL STRATEGY FOR CENTRAL BASINGSTOKE

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council (‘the council’ is seeking to commission consultancy support to assess the strategic approach the council could/should consider in development of its smart city agenda. The council anticipates that this piece of work will commence around the end of September 2016 and take approximately 3 months to complete.

The purpose of the study is to:

• a)Provide a detailed Smart City agenda that council/should develop over a period of time to improve digital connectivity and information gathering to support the council’s decision making regarding the town centre.

• b)Engage with Officers, Members and stakeholders to review current and potential future needs.

• c)This information will help inform the council on development of a strategy to co-ordinate the council’s future approach to embrace digital technology to improve the visitor experience of visiting the Town Centre.

The Council is utilising an electronic tendering tool to manage this procurement and communicate with Tenderers. Accordingly, there will be no hard copy documents issued to Tenderers and all communications with the Council, including the submission of Tenderers’ Responses, will be conducted via the ProContract system, which can be accessed using the following link:
