The purpose of this brief is to seek the services of an experienced Peatland Surveyor and Restoration Plan writer. The surveyor will:
- undertake an assessment of two sites on Cow Ridge to understand the extent of the current peat resource and condition (more information on the sites is below)
- report on the impact these areas may be having on water quality and carbon loss in the Rye catchment
- identify works as appropriate in an illustrated, written plan that will enable future funding to be sought and to steer a specification for those conservation works. Further information is on in Section 3 "contract specification".
