description

The Council is looking to commission a review of our Strategic Flood Risk Assessment to help inform our New Local Plan Review (NLPR).

The brief is to review the modelling available and provide a series of outputs to support the Council in meeting its duties both as a Planning Authority and as a Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA). The tasks required include the review of all flood risks to the Borough including water main burst, the consequences of flooding and mitigation / resilience measures. Policy recommendations for the NLPR and flood maps for the site allocations are tasks to support the Council's duties as a Planning Authority. The final task is to review the Council's register of structures which may significantly affect flood risk which will support the Council's role as an LLFA.
