description
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is looking to procure a suitable supplier to undertake the production of a Business Case for a West Midlands Industrial Symbiosis programme.
The overall project aim is to identify how industrial symbiosis can benefit the West Midlands, its different sectors and specific locations and establish what the most effective and value for money approach to realising these opportunities is. We are looking to achieve seven outcomes for the region which are detailed in the attached document.
The principle deliverable of this work will be the production of a Business Case to support applications for funding / investment from public and private sector bodies to establish the WMIS delivery programme. This must be developed to reflect the specific strengths and challenges facing the West Midlands economy.
It is anticipated that to support the development of the Business Case, the successful bidder will also need to convene 1-2-1 meetings and a workshop/series of workshops, as appropriate, with regional key stakeholders in the private sector, as well as public bodies such as Local Enterprise Partnerships, Local Authorities, and Universities. Doing so will ensure that the final proposal will have been developed, and co-owned, by our region. The WMCA Environment Team will work with the successful bidder to facilitate this and it is envisaged that they would have weekly meetings with the WMCA.
This Request for Quotation is being evaluated on the basis of 80/20 quality/price and the closing date for submissions is 1200 on Friday 11th March 2022. If you have any clarification questions the deadline for submitting them is 1200 on Friday 4th March 2022.
In order to access the documents and submit a bid please do so through BravoSolution, the WMCA's e-tendering portal (https://wmca.bravosolution.co.uk). The tender reference is itt_1049 and if you are not already registered on BravoSolution it is free and usually only takes a few minutes to do so.
