EV076 Killingworth Sustainable Retrofit Project Sub-Contractor Packages - Block A - Secondary Glazing

The Authority has secured funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the Killingworth Site Sustainable Retrofit project. This project is a combination of refurbishment and replacement of the existing office accommodation, workshop, welfare and other facilities on the site ensuring it 'future proofs' its operations, with energy efficiency and functionality as the key principles using a range of energy efficient systems, alongside energy generation and energy storage/distribution solutions to support a move to an electronic powered operational fleet.

This procurement opportunity relates specifically to Supply and Installation of Secondary Glazing panels to ground floor. North Tyneside Council will be the Principal Contractor for the project therefore tenderers should note that they will be working in the capacity of Sub-Contractor.

Tenderers must be aware that this is an operational site and as such Works must be undertaken taking into consideration neighbouring occupied buildings, vehicle movements and office and field-based employees accessing and attending the site in vehicles and on foot. Please Note: The Block A site is very restrictive for access / plant movements.

Tenderers will be required to confirm that they will comply will the Authority's minimum standards in relation to health & safety and mandatory training requirements. All operatives must hold CSCS cards, relevant training certification and any other trade/task specific relevant qualifications.

In light of the current situation with COVID 19 timescales will be confirmed with the successful contractor.
