Audiology Service – Warwickshire North CCG

This is a Prior Information Notice published by NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AG CSU) on behalf of NHS Warwickshire North Clinical Commissioning Group (WN CCG).

WN CCG wishes to engage with suitably qualified and experienced service providers on the provision of a new community age-related, adult hearing loss service (’Audiology Service’). The aim of the market engagement exercise is to help refine the commissioning and procurement approach, inform the development of the service specification and to gauge interest in this opportunity.

Background

The current audiology services are provided by a range of providers in a range of venues across Warwickshire North CCG area.

WN CCG is developing a community-based, adult, age-related audiology service which will provide appropriate place-based care for patients, which require access to an audiology service. The new service will need to:

• Provide high quality, innovative patient care that is safe, effective and patient-centred within a community setting
• Deliver services as efficiently as possible
• Reduce the number of patients receiving non-complex care in an acute setting
• Maximise the appropriate provision of diagnosis, treatment and management within the community setting

Expressions of Interest

As part of this market engagement exercise WN CCG would like to hear from potential service providers to understand their views, any suggestions and proposals.

The CCG would like to assess the current market appetite to provide this service and provide an opportunity for prospective providers to provide feedback to the CCG in relation to the content of the draft Service Specification.
