description
The Midlands Net Zero Hub with support from its accountable body Nottingham City Council and sponsored by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, is looking to appoint up to two qualified consultant(s) to deliver two work packages:
- Work package 1: A Midlands wide siting study for potential nuclear sites and;
- Work package 2: A Midlands wide nuclear skills study.
The project will support Midlands Nuclear's ambition to review the potential opportunities in relation to i) siting of nuclear generation and other facilities (e.g. manufacturing), and ii) understanding the current skills base plus meeting future needs in terms of the provision of skills, in the Midlands region.
Two contracts will be awarded, one for each work package. Bidders are able to apply for both work packages or a single work package. The total funding available for the siting study is £65,000 and for the skills project is £35,000
