We have identified just over £1M investment as a transformation fund for care homes to support the changein the market to meet hanging demand within Torbay. We therefore, invite submissions expressions of interest for funding from homes willing to work together in close partnership to meet the specialist needs of people withdementia together, making best use of skills, buildings and other resources. This Notice is being used as a call for competition and only those economic operators whosubmit an expression of interest will be invited to submit a bid. Applicants may express an interest throughwww.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk or by email procurement.team@torbay.gov.uk by 12:00 Noon on 01 February 2019. Expressions of interest must be accompanied by a brief outline of the economic operator's proposals andindicative value of any subsequent bid. We are seeking expressions of interest from care home providers who have ideas for meeting the following outcomes in a collaborative way:
- Willingness to work in close collaboration with other care homes
- Speedy access to the right placement and staff skills, taking account of individual needs and preferences
- An inclusive, dementia friendly, environment
- Availability/or access to specialist dementia support
- Person centred care and support for people with dementia using creative ways to involve residents in their care, their environment and activities
- A safe environment for all including, assurance of how compatibility of the needs of residents will be considered.
- How individual choice will be accommodated
- Implementation of Torbay Care Charter principles
- better more efficient use of resources

The procurement will be undertaken using the light touch regime for social and other specific services. This Prior Information Notice should be considered a call for competition and only those economic operators who express an interest will be invited to bid.
