description
Warwickshire County Council requires asbestos survey and analytical support works to be carried out at all scheduled properties.
The Authority currently has approximately 400 Properties within its property portfolio although this figure may change over time. Most of these properties were built prior to the formal prohibition of asbestos in 1999 and are known to have asbestos-containing materials (ACM's) incorporated into their structure(s). Each site built after 1999 has had a management asbestos survey with all identified ACM's assessed to provide an asbestos management plan for the Authority. This management plan is used to create an annual programme of remedial works. An ongoing programme of re-inspections is carried out by an in-house team of asbestos surveyors.
Further to this, as part of the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Authority's property stock, refurbishment and demolition surveys and associated analytical works will be required as part of the maintenance and improvement works.
The framework will be used to provide services for Warwickshire County Council (and surrounding authorities) where identified by the Duty Holder (as defined by the most recent Control of Asbestos Regulations). In addition through the period of the contract additional sites may be included which are our clients where they choose to use our services. (Eg Academy Schools).
The works involve, agreeing an annual planned schedule of works with the contract administrator, confirming with the site "customer" these dates, undertaking the required work on site, providing necessary documentation electronically alongside invoices (or at any time as specified by the contract administrator), documentation being survey reports and/or analytical paperwork where applicable (with any exclusions to the requested works clearly outlined) in a readable condition so it can be uploaded to the Warwickshire County Council Property System (ATLASWeb).
Additional information:
Please register via the Council`s e-procurement system - CSW-JETS http://www.csw-jets.co.uk/
CSW-JETS is a sub-regional e-tendering portal run by In-tend. Since February 2010, Coventry; Solihull; Warwickshire; Nuneaton and Bedworth; Rugby alongside other local district Councils have been working together as a shared procurement service. In conjunction with Solihull Community Housing, we have joined together to bring you a collaborative E-Tendering portal.
CSW-JETS enables us to advertise our opportunities across all authorities through the same system. This means that there is a single point of contact for procurement in the sub-region so you only have to register once to receive notifications for all authorities. Registering on the portal will make it easier for local suppliers to find, respond to and be alerted to tender opportunities.
Registration is free, and takes just a few minutes. When complete, you will be able to express interest in any of the Councils'/Authorities' opportunities when they are made available including this tender. In addition, we will be able to access your details whenever we have a requirement, and you may then be invited to tender or quote for work.
Once you are registered and log in to the system you will be able to locate the tender opportunity, express interest and access the documentation.
Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No
