REPLACEMENT OF THE DOMESTIC HOT & COLD WATER SERVICE PIPEWORK (School Project)

The whole school domestic cold & hot water pipework system is to be re-piped including a new metered incoming water supply.

All appliances / taps / outlets will remain as existing.

Asbestos is throughout all surfaces within the school.

The DHWS plant is located within a dedicated basement boiler room which is to be converted from vented to un-vented.

The cold water storage cistern is located within the roof plant room is to be decommissioned and completely removed along with all redundant pipe work supports and materials.

The existing heating F&E storage cistern is located within the roof plant room which has already been decommissioned and is to be completely removed along with all redundant pipework supports and materials.

The existing domestic water service pipe work distribution system is generally routed within the floor service void which contains asbestos. The pipework shall be disconnected, drained and abandoned without disturbing the floor trench. This can be undertaken from the basement boiler room.

The existing incoming metered water supply is to be decommissioned and removed back to source.

When any works are undertaken the contractor shall provide complete and full protection to all surfaces and floors before any works are undertaken followed by a through clean.

Before any works are commenced the contractor must arranged with LBBD for all asbestos controlled works.
