Following recent engagement work NHS England is looking to secure providers to deliver a comprehensive veterans’ mental health service across England.

Providers must be capable of delivering the service across a wide geography which may include via a lead or prime contractor model.

Providers must also demonstrate how they will link with appropriate and relevant third sector organisations to ensure that the needs of veterans are met.

Future veterans’ mental health services should:

Be capable of providing a comprehensive mental health service that at least meets the requirements of the Mental Health Five Year Forward View.
Liaise with the Ministry of Defence to support service personnel leaving the armed forces.

Please note this is a market assessment exercise to gather generate interest. The subsequent procurement will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement.

Click the link for the opportunity and in the right hand box on the screen titled: “Expression of Interest Window”, please log-in and register your interest in this opportunity. Please follow the instructions to express an interest. You should then receive two emails; 1: advising that you have successfully registered your interest, 2: advising you that the documents are now available to download. You will then need to log back into to the portal to access and download the documentation. Please note that by expressing an interest you are NOT committing yourself to submit a bid.

Bidders are reminded of the steps that must be completed: 1. Ensure that your Organisation is registered on the portal (if not then remember it can take up to 24hrs for this to turnaround). 2. Express your interest inside the published deadline. All the above steps must be completed inside the published deadline for your application to be considered.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest is responses in relation to this procurement process is on 31st August 2016 at 16:00pm. This date may be subject to change at any time and such changes will be notified via the ProContract e-tendering portal.
