description

The client is the Technology Office arm of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) within the UK MOD. DE&S is establishing an architecture across the Land Environment which aims to improve requirement setting, facilitate system integration, enhance interoperability and reduce the through-life costs of equipment support. This is known as LOSA, the Land Open Systems Architecture. Broadly, the LOSA governing body require understanding of the extent to which relevant projects currently comply with this methodology, both technically and financially. This is needed to inform decision making, and to ensure that decisions on future LOSA investment are made at the appropriate level to provide value for money on a ‘best for Defence’ basis. Although LOSA applies across Defence, DE&S are managing this contract.
