Procurement of one new baler and associated 'sort line' equipment.

We currently have a baler located at Ashmead Road Recycling Depot, Ashmead Road, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 1SX for baling cardboard, plastics and tin cans generated from kerbside sorted recycling collections. This baler is not capable of processing the current material volumes on site. We therefore have a requirement to replace the baler for a new unit that will be reliable, cope with the current throughput of the site and be 'future proofed' for continual growth of material. We are also looking at some minor alterations of the picking line to increase volume throughput I.e additional picking station.

We are inviting interested parties to visit our site at Ashmead Road, Keynsham to see the current set up of our recycling baler and associated sort line, housed within our space restricted transfer station, to fully understand what options are available in the marketplace to replace the equipment in order to meet our future needs.

From these series of visits and open discussions we aim to get an understanding of what is available to us in the marketplace to formulate a formal tender and procurement process for the purchase, installation and commissioning of a new baler and associated 'sort line' facilities.
