Ocean Academy - MUGA Resurfacing

Ocean Academy is owned by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council and operated by Aspirations Academies Trust. The MUGA is located within the school grounds of Ocean Academy used exclusively by the school. It consists of a polymeric surfacing for multi-use sports including football, basketball.

Following installation of the artificial surface, over time, noticeable deficiencies have appeared (delamination of polymeric surfacing from the base, exposed base layer, loss of SBR, open joints) throughout the playing surface.

The proposal would be to carry out the refurbishment work on the MUGA to remediate the issues and ensure a long-term fix to the problems experienced.

Contract is subject to 12 months defects liability period.
