description
This requirement will support the provision of an emergency support package to Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The aim is to raise awareness of critical funding sources available in response to the Covid-19 and ensure that they continue building their sustainability.
A fundamental part of delivering these objectives and countering local threats is our work with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in local communities in the areas facing the highest threat from radicalisation. By engaging CSOs through a commissioning process via priority local authorities, CSOs deliver projects led by local communities and civil society organisations to target vulnerable groups that HMG and other statutory partners find difficult to reach and engage as they often have greater credibility and trust within their local communities.
To achieve a more sustainable operating model we need to further develop the capability and resilience of CSOs, by supporting them to follow best practice models in their approach to business development, to increase their delivery capacity. The objective is to build sustainability within the network and professionalise our delivery partners via the following three deliverables:
Deliverable 1: C-19 Support Webinars
- Immediate support of 4 online workshops to 70 Civil Society Organisations setting out advice on accessing crisis funding sources, HMG support and ensuring CSOs are developing post-COVID 19 plans to manage the impact that this may have on them. The sessions will provide downloaded materials to further support CSOs
Deliverable 2: CSO Assessments
- Delivery of 30-50 assessments which provide a 5 point check on CSOs purpose, governance, position and fundraising potential. This will also include some high-level recommendation for CSOs to take forward.
Deliverable 3: Delivery of Summary Report to Home Office
- Final Delivery report summarising key findings from the webinars and assessments exercise to inform a longer-term support programme
