description
The LOC for the WGC2022 is looking to contract a screen Supplier that can bring our event to life in an innovative and exciting way that reflects our values and brand of the event. Aligning with our event ambitions, we are looking to work with a supplier that has sustainability built into their values and products.
The LOC for the WGC2022 is undertaking a procurement exercise to identify and appoint a single supplier to deliver all parts of this tender. Below are some ideas on what we are looking to deliver across the event site but open to other ideas and suggestions.
Part 1. Event Arena Sports Presentation Main Screen - This is to be used in the main sports arena to show all the competition and results from our sport presentation partner output. This is a focal point for spectators and therefore we are looking for a world class screen provision that is innovative and engaging.
Due to some operational restrictions within the main arena floor, we are looking for a centre hung screen, similar to an NHL arena setup, providing visual Engagement 360° around the arena. Suggested options include the below (though we remain open to any innovative solutions suggested)
Flown LED Cube minimum of 7m x 4m x 4 LED Circle (below Cube) 18m x 1m, anticipated rigging space is approx 10m2.
Part 2. Judges' podiums & Tribune's frontage headers - These will be attached onto the front of the structures. The total amount for all platforms is 130 linear meters of LED to be placed and attached on numerous judges' platforms. At a height of 1m. The successful contractor will work with the LOC overlay contractors to make structure safe and secure.
Part 3. Athlete Entrance - Screens to cover the sides walls for the athlete's entrance on the centre of the tribune. The athletes entrance area is 8m x 2.5m per side.
Part 4. Digital Flags - Rather than flying flags it is our intention to display victory and medal ceremonies winners' flags as digital flags which will be flown "Live" as winners national anthems are played. We would therefore require 3x screens approximate size 2m x 4m or similar.
