Tender20086 - DPS for Accommodation and Management Services

The objective of the DPS for Accommodation and Management Services is to provide emergency accommodation for individuals and families prior to full assessment of their circumstances by the Council and/or until suitable long term accommodation is available. The Council has an ongoing and growing requirement for accommodation that is available at any time of the day or night, 365 days per year for households to whom it has a housing duty. This opportunity is for Potential Providers to supply and manage accommodation that will be used to comply with this duty. Placements of homeless persons can last for periods of one day, to several months; and it is estimated that the Council will require up to 200 new or replacement emergency accommodation rooms over the next four years.

The Council would like to appoint Providers to the List provide and manage emergency accommodation that will ensure continuity of supply and provide good quality properties. The Council is looking for Providers who will supply a good customer focussed service to the Council and to homeless persons whilst providing value for money.

The awarding of a place on the Emergency Accommodation Providers list does not guarantee any amount of work but offers the opportunity to competitively tender for contracts as and when the Council has a requirement.
