description

The University of Warwick Warwick Manufacturing Group has a requirement for a Textile Reinforcement Permeability Measurement Bench.

As part of the ACRC development to provide core capability for composites processing, WMG seeks to purchase a fully automatic bench for measuring the permeability of textile reinforcements (reinforcement meaning dry fabrics and mats made from Glass, Carbon or any other such material/fibre) to enable research into high-volume processing of structural composites for automotive light-weighting. The system will enhance the existing characterisation capabilities of the centre, in terms of speed, accuracy and reliability.
