Supply, installation and maintenance of traffic signal equipment of 4 sites:
- Holywell Street Junction,
- Markham Road Junction,
- B6179 / Bywell Lane, Kilburn
- A57 High Street West, Glossop
The Council are currently investing in the upgrade of a number of traffic signals assets on key routes across the County to:
- Utilise new ITS systems including SCOOT based UTC
- Promote sustainable transport
- Improve air quality
- Improve energy efficiency
- Reduce delay on our network
This procurement includes several key junctions in Chesterfield and the wider area that will play a vital role in our management of traffic within these areas. We are looking to commission a partner organisation to ensure delivery of the designs – working closely with ourselves, the designers and our civils installation teams to ensure we meet the challenges presented by current traffic conditions whilst ensuring future strategic management is achievable.
