Landfill Small Works - AWARD

Norfolk County Council wishes to appoint a single Contractor to undertake Works on a dozen or so closed landfill sites within Norfolk so that the Council may fulfil its statutory obligations for pollution control and site licence conditions within these sites.

Contract work will mainly comprise of the following duties; (this is not an exhaustive list)

• oModifications and maintenance of landfill gas control and monitoring systems.
• oModifications and maintenance of leachate and ground water control and monitoring systems.
• oSupply of materials for the above Works.
• oSupply of all equipment (hired or otherwise) to carry out the above Works.
• oSite investigation and construction earthworks.
• oModification and maintenance of surface water drainage systems.
• oArrangement of transport such as hi-abs and cranes if necessary to facilitate moving landfill infrastructure.
• oCover to undertake monitoring such as for Gas, Leachate, Groundwater and Surface Water.
• oEmergency call outs during the working day (7am- 6pm)
