Lancaster University Slaidburn House Re-roofing Works

The University is inviting tenders for a contractor to erect full working scaffold around Slaidburn House, remove existing roof covering, ventilation grilles, and rainwater goods and remove from site, carry out strengthening works to timber roof trusses, overlay roof trusses, re-cover roof slopes with 'DECRA' coated metal tile profile panels, with associated trims and flashings. Panels to be fixed to timber battens fixed over 'DECRA' underlay, fit new rainwater goods and vertical cladding panels, alter existing extract ventilation ducts & connect to new outlets in vertical cladding panels (in conjunction with M&E specialist). Remove scaffold. NOTE: The Contractor is required to be a 'DECRA' approved contractor in order to be able to provide, in association with DECRA, a 40 year guarantee (materials) and 10 year guarantee (workmanship) for the works. The form of contract to be used will be the JCT Minor Works (without Contractor's Design) 2016 with Lancaster University Special Conditions.

The location of the site is Bailrigg Campus, Lancaster, LA1 4YW.
