description

In September 2023, West Midlands Combined Authority approved the launch of the Refreshed Regional Road Safety Strategy 2023-2030, This document integrates Vision Zero into the future thinking of road safety - a long-term mission that recognises that deaths and serious injuries on the road are not an acceptable price to pay for mobility.

This project will support the development, monitoring and evaluation of risk exposure at a minimum 40 locations where vulnerable road users (VRUs) are prevalent. The project will particularly focus on risk experienced by these vulnerable road users (pedestrians and pedal cyclists).
