This is not a call for Competition.
This is an Advert for Soft Market Testing to gauge market interest which will influence future Commissioning and Procurement Direction.
NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) on behalf of NHS South Worcestershire, NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove and NHS Wyre Forest Clinical Commissioning Groups (the CCG) are seeking to engage with potential Providers for the Provision of Dementia Post-Diagnostic Support Pathway for Worcestershire County.
The CCG are looking to commission comprehensive community-based Dementia Post-Diagnostic Support for Worcestershire residents. The service will aim to provide a high quality service for patients who are registered with the Worcestershire CCGs GP Practices. The service will be based on best practice and will provide appropriate assessment, community services support, review and discharge.
The current service provision for Dementia Post Diagnostic Support has been reviewed. Commissioners propose to procure a single service to provide all elements of the existing contracts, aligning with primary care/neighbourhood team structures to ensure a more targeted provision based on population need.
The provision of support that has been identified includes:
| - | Peer Support/ Dementia Cafes |
| - | Dementia Information Hub working with existing local infrastructure |
| - | Drop in services |
| - | Access to professional clinics |
| - | Appropriate support for people with Young Onset Dementia (YOD) |
| - | Regular engagement with carers to inform service delivery/developments |
The aim of the event will be to engage with potential providers for these services in order to share the commissioning intentions of the CCG, and to seek the input from providers on a number important aspects relating to the services, including the expected service outcomes. At the event there will be an opportunity for providers to network with other providers and commissioners.
The CCG would like to assess current market appetite to provide this service. The outcomes of the event will then determine next steps.
Providers are invited to a Market Engagement event which will be held on Wednesday 8th August 2018 at 10 am (Registration 9.45) to 12.30 at Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG Offices.
