Provision of occupational health services in an acute health care setting by appropriately qualified employees may include but are not limited to:
| i. | Pre-employment health assessments |
| ii. | Providing independent and professional advice on staff unable to work due to long-term or short term intermittent health problems |
| iii. | Providing independent and professional advice on organisational wide strategies to reduce sickness absence |
| iv. | Providing advice and developing solutions to keep staff with health issues at work |
| v. | Preventing and removing health risks in the workplace, including immunisation and vaccination programmes and workplace assessments |
| vi. | Availability of specialist occupational health advice as required, |
| vii. | Provision of lifestyle, health promotion and well being advice for staff |
