Conservation Area Appraisal of the Wednesbury Conservation Area to Include Assessment of Potential for Expansion and Development of Conservation Area Management Plan - AWARD

The Council is tendering for a contract for the production of a Conservation Area Appraisal for Wednesbury's Market Place conservation area.

The Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990 places a duty on Local Planning Authorities to consider the designation of Conservation Areas, proposals for their enhancement and their subsequent ongoing management.

Conservation Area Appraisals are a mechanism for reviewing a conservation area designation. An appraisal should describe the features which make up a conservation area's special character and identify potential for enhancement.
