Coventry University and the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) is in the process of enhancing its joining and fabrication research capability to undertake welding, brazing, hard-facing and Additive Manufacturing (AM) through using Laser heat sources identified as process 52 within ISO 4063. The accurate processing of parts using wire, powder or a mixture of the two filler material media requires a system to be suitably flexible in joining and manufacturing 3D parts to meet future concepts being researched at the University and AME.
