ITT for Catering Services to Horizons Learning Federation, 3 Primary Schools in Cambridgeshire

This ITT is to provide school meals to Horizons Learning Federation, Cambridgeshire.

The Federation consists of three rural village primary schools in the St. Ives/Huntingdon areas; Holywell, St. Helens and Somersham Primary Schools.

The Federation provides primary education to a total of 657 pupils and employs approx. 103 full and p/t staff.

This contract is for a period of 3 years.

The Federation is looking for a caterer who cares about the freshly prepared and cooked food that they serve and will make every effort to engage with the children and staff to achieve the objectives of the school.

The Federation would like the caterer to maximise upon the meal uptake of children and staff in order that they can meet and exceed the DoE's primary targets.

Additional information: Caterers must have experience of providing catering services to primary schools. A strong local management support and the ability to provide local purchasing is important, as is the ability to engage the pupils, treat every meal as an occasion and develop the menus and provision together with the school and interested consumers.

TUPE will apply with this contract and staff are members of a LGPS.
