North Yorkshire County Council wishes to award a contract for the delivery of a Self-Advocacy service. The contract will be for a period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further 1 year. Further details are contained in the Service Specification. The aim of the service is to provide support to any adult with a learning disability wishing to self-advocate and others within the terms of reference of the North Yorkshire Learning Disabilities Partnership Board (LDPB), the local areas groups, the self-advocates forum, health, employment and housing task groups. The successful provider must ensure a consistent and equitable approach to the support of self-advocates in North Yorkshire. The contract will be for a period of 24 months. It is envisaged that the contract will commence on 1 April 2016 until 31 March 2018, with an option to extend by 12 months to 31 March 2019. The total funding available for the full 24 month period is £131,000 (£65,500 per annum) with an option for an additional 12 month period of £65,500.
