This DPS will run initially for two (2) years (from 1st September 2016 until 31st August 2018) with the option to extend for three (3) further twelve (12) month periods. For the first round of Further Competitions under this DPS, please note that Requests to Participate must be received no later than 13:00 hrs on Friday 26th August 2016. This DPS will remain open for application after this date. The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the Council) is conducting this Tender exercise in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and intends to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Supply and Delivery of Stocked Building Materials (the Goods) on a non-exclusive basis to meet its own organisational and business needs with suitably qualified Suppliers of Building Materials. The Council is responsible for a range of work activities which include repairs and maintenance to both domestic dwellings and public buildings. The Council currently has two main stores which keep a stock of the material items required for these repairs and maintenance works which can be accessed at any time by the respective tradespeople. Suitable suppliers are required to supply and deliver these stocked building materials to assist with the above works. The Council wishes to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System for the provision and delivery of stock items to the two main stores and on occasion to be delivered directly to site locations within the Kirklees area.
