description
The Council wishes to work with a market operator to deliver a monthly market on Worcester High Street for a period of three years from Autumn 2021, with the option to extend for a further two years upon agreement by both parties.
The Council wishes to see a sustainable, high-quality speciality market which brings vibrancy to the city centre and does not detract from existing city centre businesses or the Angel Place market. It should increase visitor numbers to the city centre and broaden the quality and choice of Worcester's retail offer, offering products that cater for residents and visitors. The market should assist the ongoing economic recovery of the city following the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as supporting its future growth.
