description

WRAP has undertaken modelling to determine the impact of moving to more consistent recyclable collections. This focusses on a set of core materials (paper, card, metals, glass, plastics and food waste) that would be collected from kerbside schemes across England and a limited number of collection approaches. The framework and vision for greater consistency and supporting analysis and business case are due to be made available by autumn 2016. If these have not been published at the commencement of this project the successful bidder will be provided with a copy of each. The aim of the work is to take the outputs of the modelling of household recyclables and ascertain the implications for materials sorting capacity and reprocessing requirements in the future

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
