Framework Agreement for the Design, Supply and Installation of Level Access Showers

Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) are currently delivered through an internal Home Improvement Agency (HIA), called Durham and Darlington Home Improvement Agency, who deliver HIA services across the Durham County Council and Darlington Borough Council areas. HIAs assist vulnerable homeowners and tenants, who are older, disabled or on low incomes to repair or adapt their homes. DFGs are available to owner-occupiers, landlords and tenants of registered providers and are delivered to people who have been assessed by an Occupational Therapist (OT) as having an essential need to enable them to live more independently. Scope of showers The primary objective is for the provision of contractors to design, supply and install level access shower services to the following areas (Lots). Area (Lot) 1 - covering the area of Darlington Borough Council and the former district of Sedgefield Area (Lot) 2 - covering the area of the former districts of Durham City and Easington Area (Lot) 3 - covering the area of the former districts of Wear Valley and Teesdale Area (Lot) 4 - covering the area of the former districts of Derwentside and Chester le Street
