This is a contract award notice for the purchase of an Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) package to enable high-resolution measurement of sample topography of a wide range of samples. The instrument package includes the ability to scan large samples, scan in liquids, and scan at controlled temperature. The package includes several AFM modes, including contact, tapping, force-distance, fast force-distance, magnetic force microscopy and electrical force microscopy. The system includes full acoustic and vibration shielding enclosures, control electronics, and control computers. The system also includes high-quality optical microscope for sample observation, and laser alignment, and offline software for analysis of all data. The instrument is intended for use within the University of Lincoln's Advanced Engineering and Research and Development Building (The Bridge).
