Procurement of Expert Witness (ECOLOGY) relating to Planning Application Reference 17/00653/RET

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (BDBC) have received an appeal against the non-determination of the above planning application. The application being for the 'Change of use of land to residential caravan site comprising 13 plots including day rooms and construction of hard standing and access road'.

The appeal is to be heard by way of Public Inquiry, which is currently anticipated to be in November 2018 (a bespoke timetable is in the process of being agreed) and is estimated will sit for eight days.

The council, has not yet been required to formally set out its view had it proceeded to determine the application. The council had intended to refuse the application. The councils confidential draft report (Appendix 1), which will form the basis for the serving of an Enforcement Notice, and for the council Statement of Case, is available on request. This includes seven reasons for refusal.
