description
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) during 2018 will be procuring its Healthy Child Programme currently delivered separately as 0-5 Health Visiting & 5-19 School Nursing services as an integrated 0-19 Healthy Child Provision. The service will take a multi-disciplinary approach, ensuring that health and wellbeing support to children, young people and families in the borough is joined up and effective across the whole journey from conception through birth and early years into young adulthood.
During the spring & summer of 2018 LBBD intends to remodel its children & family health improvement services to provide a new integrated 0-19 Family Health & Wellbeing Service. The new service will be expected to join up with a number of council led services such as Children's Centres, Healthy Lifestyles Services and Baby Intervention.
The Council invites suitably qualified service providers to attend a market engagement event where it will present a new model for the integrated provision of child & family health improvement services in the borough and to have a discussion with current and potential providers of these services from all sectors. The event will be held between 1:00 and 3:30pm on Monday 18 December 2017 at Committee Room 2, Barking Town Hall Barking, IG11 7LU. Light lunch and refreshments will be provided from 12:30pm.
This event will offer an opportunity to inform providers of the Council's vision for services, its competitive tendering process and timetable for procurement. There will also be opportunity for providers to seek clarity on the model, ask questions and make comments where appropriate.
Key topics for the day will be;
