description

The actual CPV code is ‘75211200 Foreign Economic-Aid Related Services’.

The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) has approved a five year programme to contribute to the prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Ghana. The programme is called “Preventing Violence Against Adolescent Girls” (PVAAG) in Ghana as its primary target group is adolescent girls (aged 10-19).

It combines five mutually supportive components, bringing a holistic approach to the prevention of violence against women and girls that works at the individual, interpersonal, community and societal levels. At outcome level, the intervention seeks to reduce violence as experienced among adolescent girls in target communities.

At impact level, the programme aims to contribute to the long-term reduction in the prevalence of violence against women and girls in Ghana. At output level, we will focus on improving the enabling environment and the capability of adolescent girls to protect themselves from violence (including addressing harmful social norms that drive VAWG) as well as strengthening the evidence base on violence against adolescent girls in Ghana. Our intention is to focus on a results-based contract for this assignment.
