Anglia Ruskin University is seeking expressions of interest from private sector operators to design, build, finance and operate additional student residential accommodation in Chelmsford.

Anglia Ruskin University does not have any sites available on which to locate the new accommodation and it is essential that prospective bidders can provide their own sites for this scheme. Ideally, as a minimum some of the new accommodation should to be available for occupation in September 2016. However if this is not possible then the remainder or all should be delivered no later than September 2017.

The scheme must:

• a)provide a minimum of 100 units in a single location.
• b)potentially Anglia Ruskin University is seeking to source up to 200 student residential accommodation bed spaces, however we reserve the right to expand or decrease the requirement.
• c)Be located within a 1.5 miles (as the crow flies) radius from Anglia Ruskin University Campus, Chelmsford.
• d)provide 100% cluster units.
• e)provide affordable good quality schemes that would enhance the student experience.
• f)set high standards of architectural design and incorporate both internal and external social and recreational space.

g)provide secure cycle parking.

• h)be made available to Anglia Ruskin University via a nomination/referral agreement that will ensure that the transaction is off balance sheet.

Anglia Ruskin University will consider both new build and refurbishment schemes.
